The Story So Far
The Domain of Monterey Bay was founded after the Sabbat invaded of Santa Cruz and Monterey, attacking Anarchs and drawing the attention of several
Elder members of the Camarilla, both locally and in the area of New
Orleans. These brave Kindred Forged a partnership to drive the
Sabbat from the area, and founded a New Camarilla Domain. After
defeating the Sabbat in the area, and establishing the Domain, they
sent out word to the Camarilla at large inviting Neonates to come
join the new Domain, seeking a chance to prove themselves against the
disaffected Anarchs and the remnants of the Sabbat packs.
Or
A Bunch of Anarchs attacked the Sabbat in San Jose, which was a major city for them. Some of the Sabbat went into Santa Cruz and surrounding areas, where
they attacked some Anarchs. The Camarilla Elders used this as a
pretense to set up a Domain, taking the area away from the Anarchs.
Some of the Sabbat are still around, so they want some young Kindred
to throw at them so they can avoid getting their hands dirty.
Or
An old Prophecy
predicted a new shining city founded in the Cresent of the west.
Following signs and portents, a Malkavian Elder lead several Ancilla
Kindred to the place fortold. All the Kindred present in the area
are part of the prophecy, and it didn't end with the founding of the
city. Those not present, had to be summoned.
Or
Several Ancilla
were desperate after the destruction of New Orleans, and formed a
Coterie. They learned of an area in California they could take over
easily, and went there. When they arrived, they found they had been
preceded by Elders of the Gangrel and Nosferatu, who claimed prior
right to the area. They made an uneasy partnership, drove out the
Sabbat and threw out the Anarchs from their home. Because of the
distrust between them, they agreed not to Sire children, and instead
sent out a call for Neonates, who would serve as pawns as they
manuever for political power, and tools in taking control of the
city. Though they may pretend differently, the Ancilla don't care
what happens to their Clanmates, save as it effects their ability to
manipulate the city.
Or
The Domain of
Monterey Bay was founded by Elders, who, drunk on their own power,
managed to convince themselves the Sabbat had been dealt with.
Neonates have been gathering in the Domain, and secretly planning to
take over and found a Camarilla city not ruled by Elders or even
Ancilla, but by themselves. The Elders seek to distract and confuse
the Neonates with political games and SPANfake dangers, while the real
danger of the Sabbat grows.
